Vanderhoof Health and Fitness (VHF) aims to increase the health of all of its community members and to create an environment that is welcoming to people of every gender, age, race, and body type. VHF desires to be a safe space where the community of Vanderhoof can pursue their goals of health and fitness. |

We offer 24/7 card lock access to the gym, which includes two weight rooms, cardio room, a women's-only gym space, squash court, and change rooms with showers. VHF is a clean and accessible space with an energetic and welcoming atmosphere. Our friendly staff are always available to assist gym members during office hours. Our goal is to provide you with everything you need to work out comfortably and successfully. |
About the Owners
Raymond Reimer has been active in sports and athletics for years. During high school, Raymond focused on his hockey career, attending the Okanagan Hockey Academy and playing with the Summerland Sting, the Penticton Lakers, and the Nelson Leafs. Raymond completed a BA in Physical Education through the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus. While at Augustana, he also coached gymnastics for children ages 3-14 through the 'Vikings on the Move' program. Raymond is a personal trainer and is certified through the Canadian Society Of Exercise Physiology. Raymond is an active bodybuilder himself and recently competed and placed third in his class at the Natural Canada IBBF Pro Qualifier.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus, with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. At the gym, you can find Stephanie running the office at the gym and keeping the books, juggling her role as a young mom at the same time. Stephanie is very interested in how our community obtains its food and is actively growing and preserving food and learning as much as she can about maintaining older ways of sustenance. Stephanie has assisted Raymond in food prep for his bodybuilding competitions and enjoys learning about food prep and eating for fitness and athletic goals.
